Equipment is important. Equipment can propel you. Bikers obsess over their material. Back in the days - actually up to the late 90s - some riders used to drill holes in their frames and brakes to save 1-2 grams of weight. Others took a razor blade to shave off stickers. That was supposed to save another 1-2 grams.
We are cool, though. Not too concerned about stuff. Just good looks. Here is what we ride. The above picture shows are regular stuff for flat roads. Adnan rides a custom Cyfac with Campy components. My beloved company Cognos is (was) Canadian and I therefore ride a Canadian product called Cervelo.
The picture below shows our climbing bikes. I am a better runner than a biker and so we decided to use something that allows us to use booth skills. The bikes are really light!
